Flexibility within this role allows for job sharing, with one person covering weekday hours and another covering weekend hours.
Location: Woodlesford – car driver essential with business insurance; fuel will be reimbursed for pick-up and drop-off.
Experience of autism essential.
Hours per week: Monday to Friday, 8 hours at £11.44; weekends, 7 hours at £15.44; additional 17 weeks, 20 hours during school holidays at £11.44.
Training will be provided by the council. DBS check required before starting. Two references needed. Holiday entitlement: 5.6 weeks per annum, pro-rata.
Job Purpose: To support a young lady with autism and learning difficulties to promote independence. The lady can be quiet and anxious in busy places but is generally happy and can interpret social cues. She enjoys food, going out for meals, shopping, bowling, and the cinema. She has a keen interest in art, anime, and manga, and loves her dog, Reggie. The role involves accompanying her to activities, helping her cook or bake at home, and supporting her in using technology. Experience with autism, understanding behavior impacts, and confidentiality are essential.
Services provided include meal preparation, domestic care, social and leisure activities, and support for independence.
Training includes: Essential PA Guide, Safeguarding Adults/Children, Food Hygiene, First Aid, Autism/Aspergers.
Transportation: Full UK driving license and own car required.
Schedule, Pay & Hours: Mon to Sun, various shifts; pay rate £11.44/hr. Weekly hours and pay details are included.
