ProblemShared has created strong partnerships servicing several NHS, university, and insurer contracts to deliver high quality ADHD and autism assessments as well as assessments for learning differences. We offer wrap-around care in the form of psychoeducation, prescribing, educational navigation, and therapy sessions all under one roof.

The Role

We are hiring Autism Assessors to help us reach and support more patients.

You will:

1. Provide remote ASC assessments as part of a team of two clinicians. One practitioner delivers the ADOS-informed assessment while the other undertakes the ADI-R.
2. Use clinical judgement and experience to make treatment decisions using highly developed skills and knowledge regarding management of adults and young people with Autism.
3. Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for diagnostic decision making within competence, with supervision from Team Leads.
4. Complete risk assessments and review safeguarding needs during ongoing patient care.
5. Ensure accurate and timely client records are kept on the clinical platform. Reports should be written professionally and completed within expected timeframes.
6. Make recommendations on any additional assessments or interventions required (as appropriate) to the client within the report.
7. Maintain registration with the appropriate governing body (NMC/HCPC, Social Work England).
8. Access regular clinical supervision, management supervision, and multi-disciplinary team meetings/case discussions.

What we are looking for:

1. Current NMC, HCPC or Social Work England registration with no restrictions on practice.
2. Occupational Therapists, Psychologists or Social Workers with previous experience and knowledge of autonomously assessing and diagnosing Autism.
3. Ability to work effectively to manage own caseload.
4. Good knowledge of legislation, research and developments relevant to the field of Autism.
5. Ability to undertake both ADOS and ADI-R is essential. MDTs are held when required with Team Leads and, where warranted, with input from our psychiatry colleagues.
