Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust in Bedford seeks an experienced clinician to deliver specialist autism assessments for children and young people within the Autism Assessment Pathway. You will work autonomously in a supportive multidisciplinary team, using tools such as ADOS, 3Di and ADI-R, and contribute to service development.

The post offers tailored CPD, leadership opportunities, and involvement in quality improvement projects, with a focus on improving the diagnostic journey and outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience delivering standardised autism assessments using tools such as ADOS, 3Di and ADI-R.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive autism assessments using standard tools (ADOS, 3Di, ADI-R).
• Write confidential diagnostic reports for families and other professionals.
• Convey sensitive findings to clients and professionals, and manage discussions constructively.
• Provide specialist autism advice to individuals and groups, and offer training on autism to others.
• Undertake training, clinical audit and research activities as required.
• Liaise with NDT team and CAMHS colleagues and participate in joint work.
