The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy, and business analysis for NAVSEA submarine program offices and stakeholders. Team Submarine oversees procurement activities for programs like Columbia-class SSBN, Virginia-class SSN, and the new SSN-X, aiming to enhance undersea capabilities. Supporting these programs, analysts and engineers contribute to submarine construction oversight, design development for future platforms, and strategic planning to strengthen the submarine industrial base.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in assigned areas through training, research, and interviews with subject matter experts.
• Maintain project status, track progress, and provide updates on tasks.
• Communicate clearly via email, reports, policy papers, data analytics, and briefings.
• Organize and support meetings, including virtual and in-person, for trilateral coordination.
• Exercise project leadership by designing, planning, organizing deliverables, and ensuring strategic objectives are met. Lead and mentor purpose-built teams across functions and borders.
• Build and maintain relationships as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on-site at HMNB Portsmouth, UK, full time, depending on client needs.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in submarine operations and training.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, effective with senior leaders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex topics in writing (writing sample required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Must satisfy ITAR and EAR regulations for access to controlled materials, which may involve citizenship or background considerations.
