Job summary

Cortea AI is hiring an experienced auditor to translate audit standards into structured logic and AI prompts for our Berlin-linked product team. You will shape the product, ensure methodological rigor, and work closely with engineering to deploy audit workflows.

The role emphasises independence, ethics, and deep UK/audit knowledge, with regular travel to Berlin and a hybrid London presence. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of financial audit experience, including time at audit manager level.
• ACA (ICAEW), ACCA, or equivalent chartered accountancy qualification.
• Strong interest in audit methodology and turning standards into clear logic.
• Tech-first mindset with willingness to explore AI and innovation.
• Ability to sketch decision trees and define structured outputs; avoid programming
• No programming background required, but think in processes and system logic.
• Strong grasp of ISA UK, UK GAAP (FRS 102), IFRS, and the Companies Act 2006.
• Native English; German is a plus; right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Product Shaping: participate in reviews, design sessions, and give feedback on prototypes.
• Methodology to Logic: translate ISA UK and international standards into executable logic.
• Prompt Engineering: write, test, and refine prompts and decision logic for AI workflows.
• Documentation Quality: ensure ISA UK 230 alignment and external quality control readiness.
• Independence & Ethics: safeguard auditor independence; comply with ethics standards.
• Berlin Collaboration: travel regularly to Berlin to work with the team.
