We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as an Internal Auditor to join our Group Internal Audit team (GIA).
Job Type: Permanent
Location: This role could be based in either our Birmingham, Edinburgh or London office, with normally a minimum of 2 days a week working in an office and the rest working at home.
Flexible working: All of our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.
Closing Date: 24th July 2025
Salary and benefits: £50,000 - £70,000 plus 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

The role
As an Internal Auditor, you will provide assurance and insight to inform GIA discussions with Management and the Board regarding the effectiveness of risk, governance, and control environments across the Group.
You will support ongoing risk assessments through audits, insights from business interactions, and validation of Management’s actions. You will also contribute to ad-hoc GIA projects, focusing on continuous improvement. Building effective relationships with stakeholders across all 3 Lines of Defence is crucial for gaining trust and consensus.
