You’ll take the lead on a broad portfolio of audit engagements across a mix of sectors, working with limited companies, charities, and some specialist organisations. There’s full end-to-end responsibility on offerfrom planning through to sign-offso it suits someone confident managing audits independently. You’ll also support junior team members, giving guidance and review as needed, while working closely with partners to ensure quality and consistency. The team you’ll be joining are part of a growing accountancy firm based in Barnet. They specialise in looking after small businesses and limited companiesoffering a down-to-earth, approachable service with no fluff. They’ve got a good reputation, a steady client base, and a strong focus on doing things properly. While they’re serious about their work, they don’t take themselves too seriously, and the office has a relaxed but focused feel.
Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm. Office-based.
Leading audits from planning through to completion
Preparing and reviewing financial statements
Managing and developing relationships with a diverse client base
Supporting and mentoring junior audit staff
Contributing to process improvements and quality control across the audit function
RI Capabilities
At least 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
Confident managing multiple client relationships simultaneously
Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, tight-knit team
Up-to-date knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
Strong attention to detail and a practical mindset
