Audit Technical Senior Manager

We are searching for an experienced Audit Technical Senior Manager.

Make an Impact in our Audit Technical Team at RSM UK

Our National Audit Technical Services (NATS) is responsible for maintaining and driving the technical quality of the audit firm's operational procedures, providing technical support to partners and staff on technical accounting and financial reporting matters, and conducting quality control reviews.

We need to expand our financial reporting and audit technical teams to meet anticipated growth, continue providing technical accounting support, ensure quality, identify efficiencies, and lead on implementing financial reporting changes. This is an exciting time to join as a Technical Senior Manager and be part of our journey!

This role can be based out of any UK office, with some travel expected to regional offices.

You will make an impact by:
  • Acting as a financial reporting specialist on complex audits, providing targeted expertise to support high audit quality
  • Performing second opinion reviews of technical accounting matters under IFRS and UK GAAP, developing our audit teams
  • Assisting with financial and non-financial reporting consultations submitted to the firm's service desk
  • Drafting internal technical communications and practice aids for corporate reporting
  • Being a point of contact for technical queries from client-facing Partners and staff locally and nationwide
What we are looking for:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Experience as a Manager or Senior Manager within a technical team preferred; candidates from larger firms working on audit methodology will also be considered
  • Strong IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting knowledge
  • Experience reviewing UK Premium, Standard, and AIM listed entity financial statements for compliance
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
