A leading accountancy practice in Leatherhead is seeking an experienced and motivated Audit Team Leader to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA part–qualified or newly qualified auditor looking to step up into a more senior, supervisory role within a supportive and forward–thinking firm.

This well–respected firm works with a wide–ranging client base, including owner–managed businesses, UK subsidiaries of international groups, and high–growth SMEs across sectors such as retail, technology, and professional services. The Role:

You ll play a key role in the audit team, leading fieldwork, supervising junior staff, and working closely with managers and partners to deliver high–quality audits. You'll be exposed to a wide variety of audit and accounts work, with plenty of opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading audits from planning through to completion

  • Supervising junior staff and reviewing their work on–site and in the office

  • Liaising directly with clients and building strong relationships

  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 102

  • Working with managers on risk assessments and audit planning

  • Supporting ACA trainees and contributing to their development

  • Ensuring work is delivered within deadlines and to a high technical standard

About You:
  • ACA part–qualified or newly qualified (or equivalent)

  • Experience working in audit within an accountancy practice (essential)

  • Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and UK audit standards

  • Good communication and leadership skills

  • A team player with a proactive and positive attitude

  • Confident managing client relationships and leading fieldwork
