Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Audit Supervisor to join its Audit, Accounting & Advisory team, based in Blackburn or Bury.

ACA/ACCA-qualified with 4+ years' external audit experience is required; role offers progression toward Audit Manager and a flexible hybrid working pattern across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. You will manage on-site audit assignments, lead teams, and develop junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships and high audit quality.

About the Role

An established and growing accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Audit Supervisor to join its expanding Audit, Accounting & Advisory team, based in either Blackburn or Bury. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant with at least four years' external audit experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and progress towards an Audit Manager position.

You will join a well-established audit team of over 45 professionals, working with a varied portfolio of corporate clients and business owners. Around 75% of the role will focus on statutory audits, with the remaining time spent on year-end accounts preparation and ad hoc advisory projects.

You will take responsibility for managing audit assignments, leading on-site teams, developing client relationships and supporting the development of more junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Experience

• Minimum of four years' experience working within external audit.
• Previous experience leading on-site audit teams.
• Experience managing audit assignments and reviewing audit files.
• Strong technical knowledge of statutory audit and accounting standards.
• Experience working with a varied portfolio of corporate clients.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage workloads and support junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years' external audit experience.
• An ambition to progress into an Audit Manager position.

Working Pattern & Flexibility

• Full-time, permanent position.
