A leading national accountancy practice seeks a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant for their Film and Television team. You will handle specialized audit and accounting tasks and work with major studios and independent producers. About Our Client

This national accountancy practice has a Film and Television team where the clients include all of the major Hollywood studios, major streaming networks as well as many independent film and television production companies in the US and UK. They also work with many other entities ancillary to film and television production, such as film financiers, visual effects and post-production houses and other service providers. Finally, they work with a number of video games developers ranging from small independents to large multinational studios.

Job Description



Aside from the typical audit and accountancy work, the more specialised work you would have exposure to would be as follows:

  • Preparation and review of BFI certificate applications
  • Preparation of production expenditure analysis for inclusion in tax returns
  • Preparation of tax credit estimates for upcoming productions/games
  • Preparation of production cost report audits for both individual productions and co-productions
  • Preparation and audit of funding applications and reports

The Successful Applicant

  • Candidates should be ACA/ACCA qualified with a good exam record.
  • The successful candidate will possess a wide range of audit and accounting experience using their general skills and knowledge and applying to the specialist role.
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of small to large clients as well as having the required understanding of FRS102 and IFRS.
  • The firm will provide training and support to help develop the successful candidate's specialist knowledge and capabilities.
  • Prior Film & Television experience is not required to apply.
