Description
We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Audit Senior to join our expanding team. As an Audit Senior, you will take a lead role in audit assignments, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards while building strong relationships with clients. This position demands an approachable and professional individual who understands client requirements and delivers exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure audit files contain all necessary documentation, properly organised in the appropriate sections.
• Analyse accounting data from client records, providing insights and recommendations.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory, internal audit methodology, and risk management requirements.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
• Identify and understand client needs, offering tailored solutions and executing them effectively.
• Address client queries promptly and professionally, promoting loyalty and trust.
• Mentor and support junior team members, answering questions and ensuring high-quality work.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver accurate and timely client files and audits.
• Deliver client work in adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and review client documents, including accounts, tax filings, PAYE, and VAT submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines and prepare work for sign-off.
• Drive efficiency and quality by utilising best practices and leveraging available tools and technology.
Key Requirements
• The successfully appointed individual will be a qualified practice accountant (ACCA/ACA).
• SORP charity experience (Audit and non-Audit experience)
• Educated up to degree level or CTS
• Experience supervising and coaching junior members of staff on site
• Working knowledge of firm services, issues regarding advice, and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering
• Demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends.
Additional Requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
• Previous experience in audit within a practice environment is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
• Dependable, professional, and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
