Job summary

Brewer Morris in Cambridge is seeking a newly qualified Audit Senior or Assistant Manager to join a top 20 UK accountancy and advisory firm. You will gain exposure to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial companies, international groups, charities, and not-for-profit organisations across the UK.

You will lead audits, develop junior staff, and build client relationships in a supportive, growth-oriented environment with a clear progression path to Manager.

Qualifications

• ACA / CA / ACCA qualified (or recently qualified).
• Proven external audit experience in UK accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and International Standards on Auditing (UK).
• Experience supervising junior staff and managing audit assignments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning to completion for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare and review audit working papers in line with UK auditing standards.
• Manage on-site audit teams and coordinate assignments to meet deadlines.
• Review statutory accounts prepared under UK GAAP and FRS 102.
• Mentor and develop trainees and junior team members.
• Support budgeting, resourcing and engagement management.
