Our partner provides essential audit services to large institutions worldwide, including the United Nations & The World Bank. The specialist team works closely with global clients, delivering and managing international development grant-funded programmes. This diverse, multilingual team is a leader in this field.

We seek someone proactive, capable of managing their own tasks, and confident in collaborating and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and partners. The role involves identifying opportunities to enhance our delivery and expand services to our clients.

The team collaborates with UN agencies, the European Commission, Foundations, and other Development Agencies involved in international development. Services include financial and systems audits, certifications, internal control assessments, technical assistance, and consultancy.

As an Audit Senior, you will lead meetings with institutions and beneficiaries, coordinate audit teams during fieldwork, and prepare audit reports. You will represent the organization before multiple stakeholders, including international development agencies and partners, leveraging your language skills.

This role requires international travel (up to 40%) and managing remote audits with teams on-site and virtually. You will gain a deep understanding of the development sector and international donors’ activities. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing tailored plans based on assignment terms and contractual conditions
  • Leading opening meetings and presenting audit findings credibly at closing meetings
  • Leading fieldwork teams, including local staff, on overseas assignments or working independently
  • Identifying issues and non-compliance, documenting findings clearly in reports
  • Managing larger country-wide teams as the client focal point
  • Delivering work within deadlines and managing time effectively

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • A strong interest in international development and a love of travel
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to liaise professionally with stakeholders
  • Proven experience in audit and assurance work
