Audit Senior/Semi Senior ACA ACCA AAT independent accountancy firm in Fareham

You will be working for a highly reputable and professional independent accountancy practice based in Fareham as they are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their Audit & Accounts team. The firm is a well-established accountancy firm, offering a variety of accountancy, audit and taxation services to its clients. Its offices are conveniently located in Fareham town centre, with the main shopping area a 5-minute walk away.

This role is integral to the audit team, ensuring audit planning, fieldwork, and completion meet standards for signing audit reports. Key responsibilities include:

1. Planning, executing, and completing audits
2. Reporting to managers and partners
3. Preparing accounts and other assignments
4. Coordinating planning with clients
5. Liaising with internal departments
6. Building relationships with clients and third parties
7. Preparing accounts for non-audit clients and drafting company tax computations

Qualifications:

1. ACA / ACCA / AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant
2. At least 2 years of recent Audit and Assurance experience in an accountancy practice
3. Experience auditing construction, marine, and property firms
4. Leading external audit assignments
5. Preparing accounts under FRS 102
6. Strong communication skills
7. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
9. Knowledge of CCH is an advantage
10. Full, clean UK driving licence and own vehicle
