Job summary

Menzies LLP is hiring an Audit Senior (Qualified / Part-Qualified) to join the Audit & Assurance team in the Solent office. The role involves supervising audits, coaching juniors, and delivering quality work for multinational groups and large corporates.

We seek ACA/ACCA progress toward qualification with 18–24 months of audit experience. Strong UK GAAP knowledge, Excel skills, and client communication are essential; UK work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification in progress or equivalent.
• 18–24 months of audit and assurance experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience of UK GAAP and using MS Office; strong communication with staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join our growing Audit Team in Solent. Reporting directly to an audit Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the progress of audit assignments from planning through to completion. You will also be reviewing the work of junior colleagues as well as coaching and supporting them in their development. Our audit engagements may take place remotely or on client sites, so you will utilise a range of technological solutions in addition to your people skills to deliver a quality service, on time and on budget, working in collaboration with the wider audit team to delight our clients.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Are you ACA qualified or progressing towards your ACA/ACCA qualification with the professional/applied skills stage completed?

We’re looking for a driven professional with at least 18-24 months’ experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice, including leading external audit assignments from fieldwork to completion under International Standards on Auditing.

You should have experience preparing accounts under UK GAAP, be confident using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and possess strong communication skills for working with senior staff and clients.

If you’re motivated, a team player who can also work independently, and committed to delivering high‑quality service, we’d love to hear from you! Knowledge of Caseware or Inflo software and Mercia audit methodologies is a bonus but not essential.

Candidates must have UK work eligibility without restrictions.
