A respected and expanding Accountancy Practice based in Leicester is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional to take the next step in their career, working with one of the region’s leading independent firms.

The Audit Senior will play a key role in the delivery of audit services to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients across a variety of sectors. The role includes audit planning, on-site fieldwork, and completion, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with all relevant standards.

The successful Audit Senior will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, while also mentoring junior staff and contributing to the growth and success of the audit department.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead audits from planning through to completion for a variety of clients.
  • Liaise directly with clients to ensure audit requirements are met and expectations managed.
  • Supervise and support junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Review audit files and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare reports and documentation in accordance with professional standards.
  • Ensure deadlines and budgets are met while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified).
  • A minimum of three years' experience in practice.
  • A commercially focused, self-motivated individual with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • A team player who is also confident working independently.
  • Willingness to mentor, train and develop less experienced colleagues.
