Job Description

We are recruiting for an Audit Senior to work in Leicester, although this could be hybrid if you wish after your probation. When in the office, there is parking available. You will be part of a small team, and we are looking for you to have come from practice over industry. This client offers excellent benefits including flexi hours to work the hours that best suit you to allow for a work-life balance, Monday - Friday, working 37.5 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

  1. As the Audit Senior, you will be responsible for the preparation of accounts and audit assignments reporting to the job manager.
  2. Working under the guidance of a manager or partner, you may be responsible for the supervision of junior staff.
  3. You will be required to work within an agreed budget using a standard approach agreed at the planning stage with the manager or partner.
  4. You will be expected to use your technical knowledge to identify areas for improvement/efficiency.
  5. Produce an accounts/audit working file.
  6. Conduct audit work in accordance with the agreed procedures.
  7. Produce an accounts/audit summary and a list of discussion points for the manager or partner.
  8. Work within a budget agreed at the planning stage.
  9. If required, produce draft tax computations and a provision for the accounts.
  10. Inclusion of statutory disclosures in line with the company checklist.
  11. Professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals.
  12. Attend training to further develop and maintain your technical skills and, if not yet attained, work towards a professional qualification.
  13. Supervise and help develop more junior members of staff.
  14. Contact clients in connection with non-technical issues such as the collection of debtors.
  15. Be involved on an ongoing basis in administrative activities such as billing.
