Job description

Join to apply for the Audit Senior – Cleckheaton role at BHP, Chartered Accountants.

This is a wide-ranging and challenging position that requires an individual who is committed to and energised by client relationships, team and personal development, as well as audit quality. The role involves leading on-site audit project teams, being a key point of contact for client finance teams, and delivering quality outputs to senior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead on-site audits for a portfolio of clients, including managing higher risk areas and coaching team members.
  2. Act as the primary on-site liaison with key client contacts, managing expectations and deliverables.
  3. Ensure quality control by reviewing work and providing support and challenge to team members.
  4. Assist the Audit Manager/Senior Manager with engagement economics, including budgeting and tracking.
  5. Manage your own time and team schedules to meet deadlines and deliver excellent client service.
  6. Participate in strategic projects at the office and firm-wide levels.
  7. Contribute to business development activities.
Person Specification

  3. Leadership skills to develop junior team members.
  4. Accurate, methodical, and well-organized.

  9. Willing to research and improve technical knowledge.
  10. ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  11. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in audit practice.
  12. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
