Job summary

Kendrick Rose Ltd in Jersey seeks an ACA/ACCA qualified Audit Senior to take ownership of audit engagements from planning to completion. You will lead audits, train junior staff and build direct relationships with clients and senior stakeholders, delivering high-quality, compliant work.

You’ll manage multiple assignments, review junior colleagues’ output, and provide technical guidance on accounting, audit and tax matters, while maintaining deadlines and budget expectations.

This is a strong opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who wants to take the lead on audit assignments, develop junior colleagues and build trusted relationships directly with clients and senior stakeholders.

The Opportunity

You'll take responsibility for audit engagements from planning right through to completion, managing multiple assignments and acting as an important link between clients, junior colleagues, Managers and Directors. It's a role offering genuine ownership. You'll manage deadlines, review junior work, identify risk areas and provide technical guidance, while continuing to develop your own technical and leadership capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Building strong relationships with clients and dealing directly with audit-related queries.
• Managing multiple assignments and ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Preparing and reviewing audit working papers.
• Providing technical advice across accounting, audit and taxation matters where appropriate.
• Monitoring assignments against budget and communicating significant variances.
• Managing and prioritising junior team workloads.
• Reviewing junior colleagues' work and identifying areas for development.
• Communicating progress clearly with clients, Managers and Directors.
• Taking ownership of delivering high-quality, compliant audit work.

What We're Looking For

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting requirements.
• Previous experience managing audit assignments and competing deadlines.
• Confidence dealing with senior stakeholders.
