Job summary

AJ Chambers is seeking an Audit Senior to lead on-site fieldwork for a diverse SME portfolio in London. You will take ownership of audit assignments and support Partners and Managers, helping to grow your career within an established practice.

The role offers broad exposure across sectors, with mentoring responsibilities for junior staff and a focus on delivering high-quality audits under UK GAAP. ACA qualification required.

Qualifications

• ACA qualification with UK audit experience.
• Experience auditing SMEs under UK GAAP.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site fieldwork and audit project management for review by Manager/Partner.
• Review audit and accounts planning, perform fieldwork, finalize audits per standards.
• Liaise with clients directly or via managers to resolve queries.
• Mentor new trainees and provide on-the-job training and feedback.

The Role:

This is a broad and varied role, giving you the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across different sectors. You’ll have significant exposure to clients, Partners and Managers, while taking ownership of audit assignments and supporting the development of more junior members of the team.

• Taking the lead throughout on-site fieldwork and audit project management to ensure delivery for Manager or Partner review
• Reviewing the audit and accounts planning, performing the fieldwork process, finalising audits complying with technical and professional standards
• Liaising with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries
• Mentoring new trainees, assisting with their growth with on the job training and feedback

You:

• ACA Qualified
• Experience auditing small and medium sized enterprises under UK GAAP
• Knowledge of Caseware would be useful
