Job summary

Venture Recruitment Partners represents a UK accountancy firm seeking an Audit Senior to join a supportive, growing audit team. You’ll gain increasing responsibility, work with a diverse client portfolio, and follow a clear progression path toward Audit Manager in a flexible, hybrid setup.

Key responsibilities include planning, executing and completing audits to UK standards, leading fieldwork, coaching junior staff, preparing statutory accounts and maintaining strong client relationships

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CA qualification (or within 12 months of qualifying).
• UK accountancy practice audit experience.
• Experience managing audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Experience reviewing junior team members' work and developing them.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments in accordance with UK auditing standards.
• Lead and perform audit fieldwork, including substantive testing and analytical review, remotely and at client sites.
• Take ownership of key sections of audit files, ensuring work is complete and accurate.
• Prepare statutory financial statements from client records and identify significant issues for management review.
• Review the work of junior auditors and provide coaching and feedback.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a key contact throughout engagements.

• Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact throughout audit engagements.

Audit Senior Requirements

To be considered, you will have:

• ACA, ACCA or CA qualification (or be within 12 months of qualifying).
• Strong audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment.
• Experience managing audit assignments and taking responsibility for audit sections from planning through to completion.
• Previous experience reviewing junior team members' work and supporting their development.
