Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Audit Senior to take ownership of audits and lead on assignments within a well-established team in the UK. The role focuses on planning, fieldwork, and supervision of junior staff, ensuring compliance with UK accounting and auditing standards.

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA or equivalent, with proven audit experience across industries, and strong organisational and communication abilities to manage client expectations and deadlines.

Description

Responsibilities include:

• Leading on audit assignments from planning to completion
• Audit field work and visiting client sites, coordinating the team based on client requirements and deadlines
• Supervising junior members of the team; providing training, feedback and support
• Monitoring ongoing jobs against budget and reporting to the Audit manager on progress and any actions required
• Ensuring compliance with UK accounting and auditing standards
• Supporting in the delivery of targets

Profile

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience with proven audit experience gained within accountancy practice working with clients across different industries. You will have strong technical accounting knowledge, as well as excellent organisation and communication skills.
