Job summary

Ambition is seeking an Audit Semi-Senior for their growing UK practice in Essex. You will support audits from planning to completion, liaising with clients and teams to gather evidence and meet deadlines.

You'll be developing technical skills in audit methodology, UK accounting, and client relationship management, with progression opportunities as you build confidence and capability within the team.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Recent, demonstrable external audit experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Developing knowledge of audit methodology and UK financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supporting audit assignments from planning through to completion under UK standards.
• Producing clear working papers documenting evidence and conclusions.
• Understanding audit risks and accounting issues and escalating where needed.
• Owning timely completion of assigned work and coordinating junior colleagues.
• Coaching trainees and communicating with clients to obtain audit evidence.
• Maintaining well-organised audit files and timely review points.
• Assisting with statutory financial statements and schedules under UK law.
