Job description

I am working with one of the best accountancy firms the mid-tier has to offer. They are highly entrepreneurial and well-established within the SME and OMB space, continuing to ride the momentum of compounding success across recent years. They are renowned for their excellent culture, personal development and progression prospects, and service clients across a range of non-financial services sectors, including media, technology, retail and hospitality etc.

If you are interested in completing your articles in a new, supportive environment whilst developing a diverse and prestigious portfolio, this could be the right firm for you. You must have a background Auditing clients of a similar size, so ideally will come from another mid-tier firm or if from a large and global firm you must have a portfolio covering corporates of the SME and OMB scale.

General responsibilities:

Assist Audit Management and senior leadership across all stages of audit assignments, from budgeting, planning and pre-assignment discussion through to delivery and reporting

Act as an assistant or middle person when servicing larger clients, completing relevant audit file segments and acting as a key point of contact for client queries

Work collaboratively with your cohort and juniors, at times mentoring and supervising as you share the furthering of your own knowledge

Maintain the longstanding level of quality expected of the firm as you deliver accurate and transparent reporting to clients and all relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

Working towards becoming fully exam qualified in the ACCA/ACA/ICAS or equivalent. You should have completed more than half of your papers at the point of being a Semi-Senior

Working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP principles

Trained in another UK-based Accountancy Practice environment servicing non-financial services clients of a more entrepreneurial nature, likely categorised as SMEs or OMBs

Strong self-started keen on developing their knowledge
