Job summary

Rutherford Briant in Chelmsford is recruiting a part-qualified Audit Semi-Senior to strengthen its auditing team across a diverse South East client base, including family businesses and high net worth individuals. You will spend about 70% planning audits and leading onsite teams, and 30% preparing accounts and drafting tax computations, while mentoring junior staff and keeping projects within budget.

Qualifications

• Part qualified ACA or ACCA.
• Experience of statutory audits in a UK accounting practise.
• Client facing experience.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102.

• Plan audit engagements and lead onsite teams.
• Prepare accounts and draft tax computations; resolve queries with clients.
• Review team members’ work for accuracy before submission to the manager.
• Mentor junior staff and provide feedback on performance.
• Manage assignment time to meet budget.

Are you ready to build on your experience as a part-qualified auditor? The client is an established firm within Chelmsford looking to grow their auditing team. They have a varied client base, mainly in the South East, including family owned businesses and high net worth individuals. They are looking for an Audit Semi-Senior.

Responsibilities

• 70% of the time planning audit engagements and leading onsite teams
• 30% of the time preparation of accounts and drafting tax computation’s with clients to resolve queries, escalating complex matters to the manager or partner as appropriate.
• Reviewing team members’ work to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission to the manager.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff, offering constructive feedback on work quality and performance.
• Managing assignment time effectively to ensure completion within the allocated budget.

Requirements

• Part qualified ACA or ACCA
• Experience of undertaking statutory audits in an accounting practise in the UK
• Client facing experience
• Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102
