About the role:Our National Tax Accounting practice is expanding to meet the increasing demand for tax accounting advisory services due to deal growth and heightened regulatory pressures. We provide complex tax accounting advice and tax provision preparation to a diverse client base, ranging from FTSE 100 companies to mid-tier businesses across various industries.
We seek candidates who are passionate about complex tax accounting advisory, including GAAP conversions, carve-outs, and quarterly reporting. Our flexibility sets us apart from competitors, and you will be supported by our leadership team to work with a premier client base and help build one of PwC's priority businesses.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving and managing projects, collaborating with both senior and junior team members to deliver exceptional client service. We are looking for a self-starter with the passion and drive to propel the business forward and provide technical excellence. You will contribute to client proposals and foster strong client relationships. Additionally, there is an opportunity to include an audit of tax elements in your portfolio if desired.

What your days will look like:You'll have the opportunity to work on major high profile corporate transactions and deals. You will be involved on a wide variety of projects and assignments in the tax accounting space including:
Advising on the tax aspects of GAAP transitions to IFRS or US GAAPAdvising on the tax accounting aspects of acquisitions and disposals on purchase price adjustmentsAssisting with the tax accounting for carve-out financial statementsAssisting with tax accounting preparation work under US GAAPAdvising on the tax elements of adopting new standardsAdvising on deferred tax asset recoverabilityReviewing clients tax accounting methodology and approach and providing best practice adviceManage, coach and delegate effectively to junior team membersPlay a key role in the technical and personal development of the teamWork with experienced Directors and Partners across a national networkThis role is for you if:You must possess a ACA/CTA Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.You have relevant experience gained ideally in an accountancy firm;You have good knowledge of tax accounting aspects of IFRS and UK GAAPA commitment to continuing to enhance technical and other knowledge and skills;A willingness to learn and take on new work;Risk awareness;Excellent team play and management skills;Good communication skills;Self-motivation;You will have experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internally.You will have a focus on self-development and in the development of others in your teamsStrong relationship building and analytical skillsWhat you'll receive from us:No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
