Purpose of the role / key responsibilities:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of clients as well as providing assistance and support to others within the firm
  • Taking responsibility for effective communication with clients and colleagues
  • Ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets
  • Reviewing work prepared by other staff members
  • Ensuring adherence to the firm’s quality control procedures
  • Ensuring professional standards are met
  • Presenting work to the partner in a complete and finalized format
  • Preparing draft fees in a timely manner
  • Providing efficient and proactive service to clients, fully meeting their needs
  • Identifying technical issues and selling opportunities to Partners
  • Participating in tenders and proposals for new work
  • Developing work from existing clients by working closely with Partners and staff
  • Participating in marketing and business development activities
  • Attending networking events and developing professional relationships
  • Focusing on self-development and continuing professional education
  • Consulting on technical and risk matters with colleagues and Partners
  • Working as part of the management team and supervising staff within the Corporate Services Skill Group
  • Supporting team work and working on own initiative
  • Providing training, mentoring, and motivation to staff

Experience and skill set required for the role:

  • Professional qualification (CA, ACCA) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in key sectors such as Charities and Not-for-Profit organizations
  • Experience managing and developing a client portfolio
  • Experience coaching and mentoring colleagues
  • Strong business development skills
