About the Opportunity

Our client is looking to hire an experienced Audit Manager to join their Models Audit team. This is a great opportunity to work within a leading internal audit function and gain exposure to a diverse range of risk modelling, actuarial practices, and capital assessment techniques across both banking and insurance operations.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, risk-based audits, contributing to strategic assurance by evaluating model risk and control frameworks. The position offers a collaborative environment where you can influence the audit strategy, support talent development, and help drive continuous improvement in audit practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver end-to-end model and actuarial audit engagements.
  • Support and mentor colleagues while developing effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Analyze external regulatory and industry trends to bring fresh insights into the audit function.
  • Contribute to the development of audit methodologies and internal process improvements.
  • Provide impactful feedback and coaching to junior team members.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team culture aligned with corporate values.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified/Chartered Actuary (FIA/FFA) or a degree in a numerate subject such as Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Expertise in areas such as reserving, pricing, stress testing, insurance capital modelling, or credit risk modelling (e.g., IRB, IFRS 9).
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering audit or assurance activities.
  • Strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to align audit outcomes accordingly.
  • Ability to interpret data and deliver clear, insightful communication of findings.
