Job description

Ambition is partnering with a rapidly growing Top 100 firm seeking to hire an Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager to support their expansion in the London office. This firm is one of the fastest-growing in the Top 100, with an average annual growth rate of 25%. They have ambitious plans to continue this growth and intend to open additional offices in the future.

You will manage a portfolio of SME audit clients across various sectors. The firm's growth offers excellent development opportunities, supported by strong training and development programs.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Audit Director in managing and developing the Audit team through effective supervision and training.
2. Plan and execute audits thoroughly, ensuring all sections of the file are completed.
3. Review all accounts and provide feedback to team members.
4. Perform managerial tasks and support the wider team through regular reviews, on-the-job training, and study support.
5. Collaborate with the Head of Audit to distribute work across the team.
6. Lead weekly team meetings to discuss client deadlines, workload, and billing targets.
7. Attend client meetings, fostering strong relationships and securing new business.
8. Help deliver CPD training and webinars to ensure the team remains compliant with the latest legislative changes.
9. Drive best practices within the audit team while ensuring efficiency.
10. Begin building and managing your own portfolio of clients.

Requirements

1. ACCA or ACA ICAEW or equivalent qualification.
2. Ability to plan and lead an audit throughout its entirety.
3. Recent working knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS.
4. Experience auditing OMBs and SMEs in the UK.
5. Previous experience working as an external audit manager or senior manager.
