Job Description:

Grant Thornton's Entrepreneurial and SME Services team works with fast-growing, dynamic businesses ranging from entrepreneurial, early-stage SMEs to well-known brands. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of audit clients, solving complex technical matters, overseeing and developing your team, and building strong relationships with clients. This role covers South Wales and South West England, integrating with both the local and national teams.

We offer flexible working options, including hybrid work arrangements, to support work-life balance. You will be expected to push ideas, ask difficult questions, and provide genuine insight and added value during audits, working closely with other service lines to deliver holistic client service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a large portfolio of audit clients
• Resolve complex technical issues and project manage client work
• Develop and oversee your team to high standards
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and team members
• Take on wider departmental responsibilities through training and new projects

Minimum Requirements:

• Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience
• Experience managing audits of large companies and dealing with complex technical matters
• Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102
• Project management experience
• Experience with IFRS and auditing listed companies (beneficial)
• Extensive experience with audit software and Microsoft packages
