TPF Recruitment proudly represents a prestigious mid‑tier firm of Chartered Accountants, headquartered in the bustling city of Reading. We are currently seeking an adept Audit Manager to join their thriving Audit & Assurance team.
The Audit Manager will be instrumental in driving audit services forward, managing a substantial client portfolio, planning assignments, briefing staff, ensuring audit quality, meeting deadlines, and spearheading advisory engagements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee assignments in alignment with our client’s procedural standards, confirming arrangements with clients including cost estimations and billing.
- Uphold audit quality as paramount, actively engaging in internal and external quality assurance endeavors.
- Provide comprehensive briefings to staff on client nuances and pre‑assignment directives, offering guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure assignments are completed within budgetary constraints, promptly addressing significant points with the assignment partner and client.
- Cultivate robust client relationships, embodying the ethos of excellent client service throughout all interactions.
- Foster cross‑departmental collaboration to fulfill diverse client needs, leveraging our client’s specialist services where applicable.
- Maintain a keen eye on technical advancements, staying abreast of industry developments through continuous professional development.
- Harness your business acumen to identify new opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and engaging in client presentations.
- Assume a mentoring role, providing guidance to students and/or seniors within the team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrated experience at the managerial level in a similar capacity.
- Proven ability to manage client portfolios and nurture enduring client relationships.
- Familiarity with auditing within the SME sector is advantageous.
- Charity sector experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- A penchant for business development activities is highly regarded.
- Salary circa £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualification status.
