Job description

Our Internal Audit team is dedicated to delivering high-quality audits across Macquarie’s diverse businesses. Working within our Internal Audit team, you will gain exposure to Macquarie Capital, Macquarie Asset Management, and the Environment and Social Risk division within our Risk Management Group.

What role will you play?

As an Internal Audit Manager, you will support audits of our most dynamic and varied operating groups. You will own key stakeholder relationships and lead assessments of the quality and effectiveness of the internal control framework, risk management, and governance systems. You will partner with the broader risk management team and executives from across the group, contributing to the continual improvement of the overarching risk management framework.

What you offer
  • Prior experience in a comparable audit or risk management role, preferably within a banking and finance environment/ asset and wealth management.
  • Excellent communication skills and data-driven auditing experience.
  • The ability to liaise with and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills to establish ongoing partnerships with business and technology audit teams and senior management.
  • Experience in defining audit universes, engaging in continuous business monitoring activities, performing risk assessments, and identifying emerging risk themes and trends.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
