Job summary

AMS Group is seeking an ambitious Audit Manager to join their 23-person Audit team, reporting to the Partner and Head of Audit. This role offers genuine ownership, client exposure and responsibility.

You will manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses with turnovers between £15m and £50m, and audit fees from £20k to £100k, with a personal portfolio around £500k. This is a hands-on, visible role within a restructuring phase.

Marks Sattin are delighted to be supporting a Regional firm of Chartered Accountants as they continue to grow their Audit team.

They're looking to appoint an ambitious Audit Manager who wants more than just a technical role.

This is an opportunity to join a 23-person Audit team, working closely with the Partner and Head of Audit, in a role where you'll have genuine ownership, client exposure and responsibility.

You'll manage a portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses, typically with turnover between £15m and £50m, with audit fees ranging from £20k-£100k.

You'll take responsibility for a portfolio of around £500k, but this isn't a role where you'll simply manage from a distance.

People management is particularly important. You'll play a key role in developing the team, managing performance and helping shape the next stage of the Audit function as the business goes through its restructure.

They're looking for someone who:

• Is an experienced Audit Manager, or a strong Assistant Manager ready to step up
• Has a solid audit background and strong technical grounding
• Enjoys working with owner-managed and entrepreneurial businesses
• Is confident managing client relationships and senior stakeholders
• Has genuine experience of managing and developing people
• Wants to be visible, hands-on and commercially involved
