Qualifications

This role would suit a qualified audit professional looking to step into a managerial role or continue progressing within a practice that offers both autonomy and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients, overseeing the planning, fieldwork, and completion stages

  • Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior staff and seniors

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering a high standard of service and building long–term relationships

  • Ensure audits are carried out in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements

  • Liaise with partners on technical and strategic matters, including billing and client development

  • Contribute to internal team development, process improvements, and training initiatives

  • Maintain up–to–date knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), audit regulations, and industry trends

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience managing audit engagements in a UK accountancy practice

  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and FRS 102

  • Comfortable leading teams and supporting junior staff

  • Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred, due to client site visits
