We are recruiting for an Audit Manager on behalf of an ambitious and growing firm of Chartered Accountants at the firm's Godalming office. Excellent benefits are offered, including hybrid working arrangements.

Working with Audit Directors and Partners, you will manage and deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion and oversee a diverse portfolio of clients.

As an Audit Manager, your responsibilities include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, liaising with them throughout the audit cycle
• Managing teams during the planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit engagements
• Monitoring team performance, managing budgets, and updating the audit director and partners on progress
• Mentoring junior team members and providing constructive feedback
• Ensuring timely and effective delivery of engagements
• Assisting in acquiring new clients through tendering processes
• Maintaining and developing client relationships via written communication and face-to-face meetings
• Collaborating with other departments to efficiently complete jobs and add value to client needs
• Ensuring compliance with the firm's processes and technical standards, and confidently addressing technical questions
• Continuously developing technical skills in accounting and auditing standards
• Representing the firm professionally in dealings with clients and professionals
• Staying updated with internal policies, procedures, and announcements
• Performing other duties as required by the business

Ideal candidates will have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

• Fully ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience in a UK accountancy practice
• 2-4 years of experience managing audits and audit teams
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, FRS 101, and FRS 102
• Experience working under tight deadlines and excellent time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with staff and clients
• Teamwork and problem-solving skills
• A positive, ambitious attitude
• Experience with software such as ProAudit, Sage Accounts Production Advanced, Sage Line 50, or Xero is beneficial but not essential
