ProTalent is seeking an Audit Manager for a Leatherhead-based accountancy practice offering hybrid working. You will manage a portfolio of audits, lead teams and develop lasting client relationships.

Candidates ACA/ACCA qualified with UK practice experience, strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), and the ability to mentor junior staff are preferred. The firm supports progression, CPD and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with UK practice experience.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and UK GAAP (FRS 102).
• Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and car preferred for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients from planning through fieldwork to completion.
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior staff and seniors.
• Act as primary client contact, delivering high-quality service and building long-term relationships.
• Ensure audits comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with partners on technical matters, billing and business development.
• Contribute to internal training, process improvements and team development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients, overseeing the planning, fieldwork, and completion stages
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior staff and seniors
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering a high standard of service and building long-term relationships
• Ensure audits are carried out in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with partners on technical and strategic matters, including billing and client development
• Contribute to internal team development, process improvements, and training initiatives
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), audit regulations, and industry trends

Candidate Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Previous experience managing audit engagements in a UK accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and FRS 102
• Comfortable leading teams and supporting junior staff
• Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred, due to client site visits
