Job summary

bk plus is seeking an Audit Supervisor or Audit Manager for our Brighton team. You will manage an audit portfolio, provide hands-on technical support and help develop the operational capabilities of our charity-focused audit practice.

You will assist the RI and Audit Senior Manager to grow the practice through fee acquisition and organic growth, with occasional travel to London. Strong audit and accounting technical ability and excellent communication are essential.

• Willingness to travel to London occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage an audit portfolio and oversee client engagements.
• Provide hands-on technical support to the Audit Team.
• Help develop operational capabilities of charity-focused audit practice.
• Assist RI and Audit Senior Manager to grow practice via fee acquisition and organic growth.
• Plan and manage audits and prepare statutory accounts in line with FRS102 and Charity SORP.
• Review work prepared by junior staff.

• Manage an audit portfolio
• Help develop operational capabilities of highly regarded Charities teams to enable division to continue on expand.
• Assist the RI and Audit Senior Manager to grow practice through fee acquisition as well as organic growth
• Provide management and hands on technical support for the Audit Team
• Audit planning and management
• Preparing statutory accounts in compliance with FRS102, Charity SORP etc
• Managing and reviewing jobs prepare by junior staff
• Occasional Travel to London

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

• Strong technical ability with all round practice experience including audit and accounting
• Good communication skills to develop and grow the business
• Effective management style with proven success in identifying and progressing new talent
• Strong attention to detail
• Charity experience (Preferred)
• Qualified for 2 to 3 years
