Job summary

London Borough of Tower Hamlets is recruiting a Practice Development Lead (Audit Officer - YJS) on a 12-month fixed term, full-time role (35 hours). Based at the Town Hall Whitechapel with on-site 3 days per week, you will audit within Youth Justice Service and support the Quality Assurance Framework.

You will design audit tools, analyse findings, report to senior managers, contribute to training, track actions, and help embed learning through the Learning Academy and Supporting Families

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years' practice in YJS, including audits.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative framework and standards relevant to YJS.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks and reporting cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake audits and dip audits (focus on YJS) as directed.
  • Collate data and prepare reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Design bespoke audit tools where necessary.
  • Support QA Framework delivery with the Quality Assurance Manager and PDL.
  • Contribute to developing and delivering training programmes from audits.
  • Track audit actions and monitor progress.
  • Assist with updating policies and procedures and support implementation.
  • Undertake one-off QA tasks such as Case Reviews and Service Evaluations.
  • Review end-to-end processes and tools relating to Multi-Agency Case discussion.
  • Support workforce development alignment following audit findings.
