Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities

In this opportunity, you will be responsible for performing high-quality independent and objective file reviews to evaluate accountancy practices' compliance with regulatory standards.

You will work closely with and support our Product team, contributing to technical, client, and competitor intelligence used to make Product decisions, and liaising with the Product Director and Managers to ensure client needs are met and product solutions are integrated with our Sales and Marketing teams.

Essential and desirable capabilities

We support colleagues to develop their skills, but to succeed in this role, you should already be able to:

  • Possess excellent technical knowledge in external audit, accounts, and compliance regulation, with the ability to translate knowledge into practical guidance for accountancy practitioners.
  • Undertake research to stay updated on changing regulations.
  • Have excellent commercial awareness of the UK accounting profession.
  • Be professionally qualified to ACA standard or equivalent, with sufficient post-qualified experience.
  • Apply technical knowledge practically to various client situations.
  • Have experience reviewing audit files or compliance work.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with above-average command of English, capable of handling complex writing and liaising effectively with clients and external parties.
  • Have strong organizational and project management skills.
