Audit Director (RI)

We are excited to partner with a prestigious Top 60 accountancy firm in Liverpool that is currently seeking an experienced Audit Director (RI) to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a highly respected firm, offering the chance to shape the direction of the audit function and improvements, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Directing the audit team to maintain high standards in audit execution and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  2. Managing the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and completion, for a varied client portfolio.
  3. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong professional relationships, and offering strategic guidance.
  4. Reviewing and approving audit files, ensuring precision and compliance with regulatory standards.
  5. Mentoring and developing audit team members to foster a culture of excellence and professional growth.
  6. Identifying opportunities for business development and actively participating in client acquisition efforts.
  7. Partnering with senior management to shape the firm's audit strategy and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated expertise in leading a sizeable audit team, with current RI registration or a strong interest in pursuing RI accreditation.
  2. Strong expertise in IFRS/UK GAAP.
  3. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent.
  4. Extensive experience auditing clients across diverse industries.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage a large client portfolio.
  6. Proven experience in coaching and mentoring a team.
