Audit Director

Looking for a senior leadership role in audit where you can drive strategic change and lead a high-performing team?

A well-established, forward-thinking accountancy and advisory firm in central London is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Audit Director to join its leadership team.

This is a key appointment and offers the opportunity to shape the direction of the firm’s audit offering, manage a high-calibre client portfolio, and play a central role in the firm’s continued growth and innovation. With a strong platform already in place, this role comes with clear equity and partnership potential.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead a team of audit professionals across a broad and sophisticated portfolio, including corporates, groups, and international clients
• Oversee the delivery of complex audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and commercial awareness
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, offering advisory input beyond compliance
• Collaborate with fellow directors and partners to drive business development, cross-service line integration, and strategic planning
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance management for senior team members
• Ensure high standards of risk management and compliance across all audit work
• Represent the firm in leadership forums and act as a key voice in the evolution of the audit department

The Successful Applicant

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with significant experience at senior management or director level within audit
• Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP, IFRS, and audit regulations
• Proven ability to lead large and complex audit assignments and teams
• Excellent commercial and client relationship-building skills
• A forward-thinking approach to leadership, development, and innovation
• Driven to contribute at a strategic level and take a seat at the leadership table
• Experience with international clients or group audits is advantageous
