What does the team do?

The team primarily undertakes audit and assurance work, along with accounts preparation and tax computations. Our audit clients span various sectors across the UK, from smaller not-for-profit organizations to entrepreneurial SMEs and large listed groups. No job is the same, offering variety and the chance to learn from talented individuals at all levels. Based in London, our Audit & Assurance team works with organizations including charities and financial services, with turnovers typically from £20m to £40m, and up to £400m. Projects are usually completed within a few weeks.

What is the opportunity?

Our Audit & Assurance team is growing, and we are interested in speaking with individuals with external audit experience at Semi Senior or Senior level. Responsibilities include:

  1. Planning audit engagements and leading onsite teams (70%).
  2. Preparing accounts and drafting tax computations (30%).
  3. Liaising with clients to resolve queries and escalating complex matters to managers or partners.
  4. Reviewing team members' work and providing feedback.
  5. Managing assignment time within budget.
What experience do I need?

While experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria below and are eager to develop, we want to hear from you:

  • Part or fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
  • Experience in statutory audits within UK accountancy practice.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Experience with audit software (we use Caseware) and Microsoft packages.
