Job description

Auditor job opportunity within National Firm - West Midlands - Study fully supported

Your new company

Due to ongoing growth, a new opportunity has arisen in the Corporate Audit team of a leading national audit, tax, advisory, and consulting firm.

This is a firm who combines both global reach and local expertise and, whilst being a national firm, retains the human approach within their culture.

Our client is now looking to recruit at both part-qualified and nearly/newly qualified levels in the Midlands.

Your new role

As a member of the Corporate Audit team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality client assignments, working mostly with businesses with some involvement in auditing charities and academies. Clients will range in terms of both size and industry (including OMBs, groups and large multinationals), enabling you to gain broad exposure to different businesses and types of audits.
You will develop excellent client relationships and will work closely with colleagues to achieve deadlines. Dependent on your experience to date, you might get involved in supporting the development of audit trainees and will be given additional responsibilities - leading sections of audits for bigger clients and moving onto managing smaller audits. Alongside audit work, you will study towards ACA or ACCA exams with full study support provided.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will possess a minimum of 12m audit experience within a UK accountancy firm with exposure to UK GAAP standards. Additionally, you will be studying towards ACA/ACCA qualification, will have proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience using a variety of accounting software. You will be able to demonstrate a passion for client service, energy, enthusiasm, and a focus on achieving results. Excellent communication skills and a keenness to further your personal development and career goals.

What you'll get in return
If successful, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • Continued learning and development opportunities
  • Highly competitive salaries.
  • Full study support towards ACCA/ ACA qualifications.
  • A range of flexible benefits.
  • Hybrid working - your time will be split between time spent in modern offices with onsite parking, client sites and working from home.
  • A collaborative, inclusive, and supportive working environment and a strong emphasis on promoting good work-life balance.
  • Fantastic opportunities will be offered for personal and professional growth and a clearly defined progression route.
