Position: Associate, Corporate Audit
Location: Oldbury
About the Opportunity
I am currently working with a leading national audit, tax, advisory, and consulting firm who are looking for an Associate to join their Corporate Audit team in Oldbury. The firm is part of a top 10 global accounting network, providing access to a vast network of expertise and resources across more than 140 countries.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is studying towards their ACA/ACCA qualification and has significant auditing experience. You will be joining a supportive environment where development is a key focus, with a culture that values diversity, collaboration, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities

  • Leading audit assignments and ensuring that the team’s work is of the highest quality.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff, offering on-the-job training.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a first point of contact for clients on day-to-day queries.
  • Assisting in the planning, execution, and finalisation of audits.
  • Identifying potential areas for business improvement and assisting with audit findings reports.
  • Contributing to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities.
  • Adhering to risk management policies and guidelines throughout all work.

Candidate Requirements

  • You should be ACA/ACCA qualified (or actively working towards it).
  • Strong experience in auditing and accounting, with a focus on UK GAAP.
  • Ideally, you’ll have experience in Non-Profit, Pensions, and Corporate sectors.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ideally Caseware.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • A passion for delivering excellent client service, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
