Our placement program allows you to work in the audit team alongside current trainees and experienced members. You’ll benefit from on-the-job training and access to internal courses that will help you develop your skills.

As a member of our audit team, you will conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and building trust among stakeholders.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Becoming a key team member from day one, engaging in client work quickly, initially as part of a larger team before taking on individual responsibilities.
  • Owning tasks that will prepare you to supervise teams in the future.
  • Working with a variety of clients, including owner-managed businesses, large listed groups, charities, pension schemes, and other not-for-profit organizations.

What We Are Looking For

We value passion, personality, and originality. To be considered, your qualifications, skills, and experience should include:

  • A minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level), and a predicted honours degree.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and collaborate successfully.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data methodically to solve problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients, remaining calm under pressure.
  • An interest in business and commerce, demonstrated through organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Please note, RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels, or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
