Job Description:

For nearly a century, our client has been building a firm as accountants, auditors, tax specialists, and close advisors to clients operating in emerging markets, disrupting the status quo.

This has accelerated thanks to blockchain technology. In 2017, a client asked for help with an ICO, and they have been crypto-pilled ever since, developing into a leading professional services firm on chain.

In 2023, they launched a new division dedicated to all things Web3, now over 80 strong and servicing nearly 600 digital asset clients globally. They partner with influential players in the industry—cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain innovators, Web3 pioneers, and digital asset funds—offering tailored audit, tax, and advisory services that keep pace with this fast-evolving landscape.

Package: £57,000 - £60,000 plus a strong bonus structure (£1,000 - £8,000), private medical, private pension, profit share scheme, international conferences, paid overtime, and generous annual leave.

About the role:

Our client is a market leader in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3.0 space, working with some of the largest crypto-native organizations globally.

The firm provides advisory, accounting, compliance, and tax support to companies and individuals in digital assets and the metaverse. Their in-house AI technology enables them to stay ahead in this rapidly evolving market. Clients include cryptocurrency exchanges, metaverse entities, NFT miners, decentralized gaming protocols, ICO offerings, and high-level investors.

The team comprises professionals from Big 4 and BDO backgrounds, attracted by the opportunity to transition from traditional audit roles into the cryptocurrency and digital asset sectors.

They emphasize progression, with many individuals promoted to Manager within six months and averaging a partner promotion approximately every quarter.

They also offer an exit bonus, giving employees 7.5% of the firm’s capital upon any sale event.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients within Digital Assets
  • Working on accounting, international taxation, treasury management, proof of asset audits, shard management, and advisory for global entities
  • Advising on financial management, governance, international tax structuring, and corporate organization
  • Gaining exposure to new audit techniques, technology, and coding, with comprehensive training in crypto and digital assets

The firm recognizes that many professionals seek to move away from traditional audit roles. The work heavily utilizes new audit techniques, technology, and coding, providing deep knowledge and training in the crypto space.

The ideal candidate:

  • Prior cryptocurrency accounting experience is not required but a genuine passion for crypto and digital assets is essential
  • Critical thinking skills and a keen interest in the fast-evolving digital asset space
  • Ability to engage with clients and provide commercial advice in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3 sectors
  • A desire to develop your career in a growing, tech-driven firm starting as an Assistant Manager
