Audit Assistant Manager

£44,000 to £54,000 per annum (DOE) Permanent, full time

Bristol

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Bristol is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Assistant Manager to lead and review audit assignments across a varied client portfolio.

Bristol's commercial landscape is broad and diverse, and the firm's client base reflects that, offering technical variety across sectors and business sizes. The audit practice is well regarded and technically strong, with a supported pathway to Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment understands the local audit landscape well.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Leading and reviewing audit assignments to a high technical standard
• Acting as a primary point of contact for clients and managing those relationships
• Supervising and coaching junior and semi senior members of the audit team
• Supporting partners and managers on complex assignments and technical matters
• Delivering assignments on time, within budget and to standard
• Contributing to business development and growing the firm's audit portfolio

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong audit background gained in practice
• At least four years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven ability to lead audit assignments and manage client relationships
• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks
• Professional client facing manner, well organised across multiple priorities
