An independent Accountancy firm based in Stockport is seeking to recruit an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join their team. This firm provides a range of general practice services as well as further business services including corporate finance, tax advisory, payroll, trusts, and digital transformation. They work with a range of clients across the North West, including owner-managed businesses to international enterprises. Their clients span various industries such as entrepreneurial, manufacturing, lifestyle, technology, and media. This firm is experiencing an exciting period of growth and has recently moved to a new, modern office in Stockport.
Your new role
As Audit Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for delivering excellent audit services to clients. You will oversee audit engagements from planning to completion, identify risks, and take ownership of audit files. You will lead an experienced and professional audit team, providing training and support where appropriate. You will also be required to create and manage client relationships, ensuring the firm's values are upheld in these interactions.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have previous audit experience in a practice environment, at least at a senior level. You should have experience managing and coordinating engagements for a variety of clients and managing a team of staff. Ideally, you will be ACA or ACCA qualified or close to qualification. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, are essential. You should also be a strong, ambitious leader eager to progress your career.
