Job Description

  1. Supervise and direct audit staff during fieldwork, reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance with firm methodologies.
  2. Develop detailed audit plans based on risk assessments and client understanding.
  3. Manage day-to-day client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact during engagements.
  4. Identify and resolve technical accounting and auditing issues, escalating complex matters when appropriate.
  5. Prepare and review financial statements and audit documentation.
  6. Conduct timely performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to audit staff.
  7. Monitor project progress against budgets and deadlines, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  8. Identify potential business opportunities and value-added services for clients.

The Successful Applicant

  1. ACA/ACCA qualified.
  2. Demonstrable audit and accounts experience gained within a UK professional services firm.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both internally and directly with clients.
  4. Capacity to manage projects and to generate engagement with the stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrable experience of supervising others and delegation of work.
  6. Clear ability to organise self and others, such that you can work on several different assignments at one time.
